About Us
Crosspoint Community Church is a Bible-centered, Community-focused new church ministry in the central Johnston County area of North Carolina.
Crosspoint began as a small group of like-minded Christians in October, 2004 and have been in the process of establishing a different kind of church
in Johnston County. Our church is not in competition with other churches. On the contrary, we are teaming with other churches to share the love of Jesus
Christ with our community. We are attempting to reach an often-neglected group of people, namely those who might be new to Johnston County as well as
those who don’t have a church they can call “home.” We have no interest in luring believers away from other churches, but if you don’t have a church you
can call “home,” we would love to invite you to join us.
Pastor
Todd and Melanie have been married for nearly 16 years. Todd has served as a pastor during those years in four different churches from around the country - in upstate New York, Michigan, Ohio and most recently here in Johnston County. Melanie is presently a full-time fourth grade teacher at a local Christian school. They have three children: Katelyn (11), Rachel (8), and Bryant (7). Todd serves as the Pastor– Lead Teacher of Crosspoint. God has given him the special vision of starting this new church in the Johnston County area.

Beliefs
The following themes are just a small part of what we believe that will provide you with a pretty clear picture of how we view the world:
Many doctrines are central to what Christianity is. The birth, death, and resurrection of Christ are non-negotiable issues. We accept these things as facts. The divinity of Jesus, and the authority and literalness of the Scripture are in the same category. We have deliberately kept our doctrinal statement brief. We do not wish to unnecessarily raise walls between our people. What you believe about a secondary doctrine should not produce division in the church. Most of us probably have an opinion about those kinds of things - which is fine. What we resist is the attitude that demands everyone else agree.
Our position on Baptism is the historical position of Believer’s baptism. That is – persons being baptized must be believers. They must have had a conversion experience... They must be born again. The method we employ is immersion. We believe it most closely fits the Bible passages that define the ordinance. We do not believe that you must be baptized to be saved. All converts in the Scripture, however, were baptized so we expect that all those who respond to the gospel under our ministry will do likewise.
In addition to believing that the Bible is without error in any way we also believe such basic doctrines as the fact that Jesus was born from a virgin; that Jesus lived an entirely sinless life; that Jesus physically died on the cross; that Jesus was buried for three days in a tomb; and that Jesus physically rose from the dead and is alive today. We are also convinced that he is coming again.
For a person to enter heaven for eternity he or she must come to Jesus Christ alone for salvation. This can only be done by acknowledging one’s own sinfulness and inability to earn salvation. Then it requires believing, by faith, in what Jesus Christ did as our substitute on the cross. By accepting his sacrifice on our behalf are we then able to experience eternal life in heaven. There is no other way and all are welcome to come to him.
Finally, the only hope for all mankind is the message of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us all. It is the mission of the church to share that “Good News” with any and all who will listen.
