Our core values are our anchors in a dynamic world. As our church evolves, our core values will be our mainstay that keep us moving in the right direction. There are three underlying factors that are assumed prior to exploring our values. First, God’s Word is without error in every way; it is our compass for living. Second, Jesus Christ is the head of his church. Third, The church must be “missional” in its approach to transforming the world. With those in mind, the following are our 10 core values that form every decision we make as a church:
Saturation Prayer - We believe every dimension of our ministry must be saturated in prayer or it is not worthy of our time, effort and resources. Therefore, we will not pursue ANY endeavor without it being first and continuously saturated in prayer.
Contemporary Worship - We believe worship is singularly directed toward God through believers in Christ, but unbelievers should be able to observe genuine worship that is understandable and relevant to them, inviting them into the experience. Therefore, our worship style is both God-honoring and clear to those who are lost.
Intentional Evangelism - We believe the only way for a lost world to come to know Jesus is if we are intentionally sharing Him with others. God has no other plan than this. Therefore, every aspect of our ministry is driven by the passion to reach lost people.
Biblical Christian Community (B.C.C.) - We believe that when a person comes to Christ they enter into a whole new family. We believe B.C.C. is the very essence of the expression of the Christian life in the New Testament. Therefore, Crosspoint is a church OF small groups seeking to practice B.C.C. in a practical way.
Expository Preaching - We believe God’s Word is inerrant, infallible and always relevant and sufficient for any challenge faced by a person today. Therefore, it is essential that Crosspoint receives a regular diet of God’s Word through verse-by-verse preaching that can teach believers how to spiritually feed themselves.
Incremental Discipleship - We believe the “Great Commission” (Matt. 28:19-20) is our mandate to intentionally and incrementally measure our results of “making disciples.” Therefore, we will apply ourselves to developing discipleship training that is purposeful and growth-oriented from the new believer to the most advance believer.
Community Impact - We believe the most effective way to share Jesus with a lost community is to enter their world and make a tangible difference in their lives leading to opportunities to interject Jesus. Therefore, a visible manifestation of the love of Christ through God’s people is a primary component of all we do.
Global Missions - We believe supporting and participating in missions locally and globally is essential to becoming a New Testament church. This is the only road to fulfilling the “Great Commission.” Therefore we choose to contribute 15% of our contributions to the cause of missions all around the world.
Pastor-Led Vision - We believe the vision for Crosspoint finds its conception in the Lead Pastor as he interacts with the Holy Spirit. While the vision stems from the Pastor’s leadership, we believe the vision must be embraced by every member for it to be realized. Therefore, we choose to follow our Pastor as he leads us to God’s will.
Maximum participation - We believe every member of Crosspoint has Spiritual Gifts given by God to be exercised in our ministry. Therefore, we have the expectation that when a person connects themselves with our church, they are signing up to obey God by using their gifts in ministering to the needs of others.
